The Hempnall Trust Grant
The Hempnall Trust Grant is for any Hempnall resident experiencing need, hardship or distress.

Hospital Transport
Please be aware that a service called Transport Plus exists to assist you with subsidised hospital transport. If you are eligible for this and able to claim it, it will make it more likely that we will be a able to assist with the cost of more journeys. Taxis can be very expensive and so any assistance we can provide to assist with these costs will not go as far.

Am I eligible?
Anybody can apply, as long as their permanent address is in Hempnall and they have lived in the village for over one year. In the case of children, the application form must be completed by an adult. Importantly, the Secretary or a trustee can be contacted on someone else’s part if appropriate.

When can I apply or contact the Trust?
At any time of year. The Trust meets on the first Thursday of every month except January and August, and all grant applications are considered at these meetings.
How do I apply?
The application form can be downloaded from this website, and they’re available from the Trust Secretary and from many local organisations and groups. Please return it to the Secretary at the address provided on the form in a sealed envelope.

Do I need to provide proof?
If the grant is to cover something already paid for, please attach the relevant receipts. Please put as much information as possible in the ‘Additional information in support’ section of the form. We do not means test.
Is my application confidential?
All applications and information received by the Trust are dealt with in strict confidence. Applications are a personal/private arrangement between the applicant and the Trustees.
When will I receive my grant?
If your application is appropriate for a grant, and agreed by the Trustees, you will receive the grant within two weeks of the meeting at which it was discussed.
However in circumstances where ’emergency funding’ is required this can be handled between meetings at the discretion of the Trustees.
How much will I receive?
This will depend on the nature of the application and/or the funds available to the trust at the time. The Trust has set guidelines for all recommended grants and these are reviewed once a year.
Can I apply more than once?
Yes. however, the Trust does have a limit on grants given per person and /or per household per year, excluding those for funerals or family breakdown.
